Finally!

This is the blanket I shared the sneak peek of just before B was born. I was hoping to have it finished before she came but that just didn't happen. It then took me over 4 months to take it in and have it professionally quilted. But it is now done and I love it!

This shows the quilting stitch that was used.

Lilyan

I love the way this blanket turned out. I was asked to make a purple and green blanket with the baby's name on it. This is what I came up with.

I love the blue on the back.

The green boarder is gathered so it looks ruffle-y and the purple boarder is sewn so the seams are on the outside. I then clipped them about every 1/4 inch so they would fray.

More for Tabitha

When Tabitha found out she was having a boy, she knew exactly what she wanted for her burp rags. I had seen the whale fabric in a couple of places and loved it. It fit right in with what she was wanting so I added a diaper envelope.

These 2 burp rags and 1 from the picture above were for Stephanie Horton. She and Tabitha work together and had a joint baby shower. They went in the basket Tabitha made for Stephanie's present.
Tabitha saw the robots on the black background fabric and fell in love with it. She bought about 3 or so yards of it and the green, blue, red, and yellow flannel. I had the robot squares left over from another blanket and had just enough to add to this one. I love the way it turned out and so did she!

Baby Month by Month

I saw this idea and thought it would be a cute and fun way to keep track of babies growth over the course of the first year.

Since she turned one month old today I figured I better get on it and get these done. I only had time to complete this one. But I'm going to work on them and get them all done before next months is due.
Isn't she so cute!? I can't believe she is a month old already.
*Update: Shirts have been a monthly work in progress but they have been made and pictures taken every month.

Sneak peak!

I know I have done a lot of posts today but I have so much to catch up on. There are even a few more that aren't on this memory card that I need to put on here as well. It will have to wait for another day. I have seen quite a few posts that are using rainbow colors. I have though of several things I would like to make with these colors as well. So here is a sneek peek of something I'm working on. Check back later to see what I've done with all these pretty colors!
Another peek! I was hoping to get this done before Brynlee came but here it is, a month later, and it's still not done.

Child's Apron

The other day when I went to pick up the fabric for the wallets in the previous post the gentleman, J, that works with her asked if I could sew an apron for a family friends granddaughter. She is 2 years old. Her family owns and runs a restaurant here in town. We love their food! They are always so friendly when we go in there. The owner even comes around to the tables when he is there to make sure everything is good.
J is such a sweet old man I wanted to do a good job for him. He asked if we could put wording on the apron to go along with her mother being a waitress. He didn't know which would look better, embroidering or screen printing. I told him I could do both but that the ink would look better. I really liked the way turned out and J was very pleased with it as well.

Wallets

I have a lady I used to work with that calls me every once in a while to make wallets for her to give as gifts. I usually forget to take pictures. Here are the latest 10 that I have made for her.

I love how each one of these are unique even though they are from the same fabric. Especially the pink ones!

Giraffe Blanket

I made this blanket for the new baby. Since we don't know what we are having I thought it would be perfect. The blanket is self binding. It was easier than I thought it would be. I found it on another blog and wanted to try it. I've also seen it done with 2 pieces of flannel and I can't wait to try it when the baby comes so I can make some in the appropriate colors.

I wanted to make it so the minky was on the back and the giraffe print was on the front but after reading some of the reviews, decided I would do it this way. I'm glad I did. I really like the way it turned out!

Announcement!

So I know this is really late. I am really bad about keeping my blog updated. We made these fun shirts for the kids so we could announce that we were having another baby, which is now due in 2 weeks. It was really fun when everyone saw the big kids shirts first then Z's and realized what her's said as well.

One last picture, just because she is so stinkin' cute!
